The Panda Test: Just Go to Your Google Homepage

Is your website ready for the arrival of Google Panda? This is what we will try to answer here.

A little less than two months for the first time I spoke to the arrival of Google Panda. Since then many sites have suffered from the clutches of this cute animal plummeting on the results of major search engine.

Others, however, have seen their website content pages and climbing posts and multiply your web traffic.

What makes some places rise and others fall since the arrival of Panda? Why Google loves me or hate me?

Panda The test may be the answer. Only 8 + 3 questions. I encourage you to do right now.

Before some important facts. . .

When the Panda began to walk
On February 24, 2011 Google Panda began his crusade to improve the quality and relevance of the results people get from their searches. However, this algorithm update was not for everyone.

Panda came only for searches in English.

Tests and adjustments were made and the big day finally arrived. On August 12 Panda came to other languages ??(except Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Yes, Panda has reached the Spanish search and its effects were not long in coming.

It is expected that the arrival of Panda has affected (for better or worse) between 6-9% of total Spanish search made in Google. This percentage will continue to increase over time.

Quality sites and get more traffic up and down low-quality sites and no longer visited. This is the aim of Panda and now it seems that he is getting.

The panda test: Is my website quality?
We have said that the primary objective of the upgrade is to improve the positioning Panda web sites (and their pages) that are lower quality and positioning of web sites (and their pages) that are of poor quality. As a result, we get our Google queries most relevant results.

The questionnaire
For this questionnaire is really a valuable source of information needs to be placed at least 20 people, preferably not know the web page being analyzed.

The questionnaire was divided into two parts, one for the domain and the other for your pages. The proposed responses to each question are “yes”, “no” or “do not know.”

For the domain

1. Would you give this website the details of your credit card?

2. Do you trust the information on this site?

3. Do you think this website is a leader in your field?

For pages

After each question is put a link to any page of the website. The person on the basis of what you see “yes”, “no” or “do not know.”

Respond if you have an immediate impression or take your time to look at the site.

1. Would you trust the information presented here?

2. Is this article written by an expert?

3. Does this article obvious errors?

4. Is the content or information in this article is original? [In the sense that there is a copy or remake]

5. Does Article intelligent analysis?

6. Would you consider adding this page to your bookmarks (favorites) or you share on social networks?

7. Is there too much advertising on this page?

8. Is it reasonable to view this article in a magazine or a newspaper?

Now pass this test yourself. Although if you really want to have objective data I recommend you send this test to 20 people. The first for the domain and the second page of your website (below each question adds a link to any page on your website).

This test helps you see your website through the eyes of Google, especially if other people do and not yourself.

Is your quality website? Does Google love me or hate me? Now you know.

You have time to remedy it but the sooner you make changes previously reflected in the results pages.

The basics of on-Page SEO

SEO means “Search Engine Optimization”. But this definition is not only ambiguous but also encompasses so many activities that need sorting out and explaining. Among the actions and activities classiefied as SEO are used to differentiate between On Page and Off Page SEO.

On Page SEO,, or called as onsite SEO as well; is the set of actions we take within our own page to optimize it for search engines. Each time you change a title, a text or a template, each time we create a new section or a new product on our website we affect the On Page SEO. Every time we create links on other websites for our pages, put a tweet or comment on do follow blogs and forums, this is Off Page SEO.

So we can say that On Page SEO is pure, and we do not play with the strength of our site, its relationship to other pages or its life … simply manipulate our search engine to power as that of “possess” that interests us most.

On Page SEO in the hundreds of factors involved, why would realize how many? Never finish. The important thing is actually finding a logic model that lays the foundation with which to work. Understand a number of concepts with which our SEO On Page is secured. Then, without a doubt will have to add details and tricks but they can never be as important as the foundation of everything. Indexing and SEO On Page
Google (and all browsers) uses spiders to crawl content. These are programs that are jumping from page to page tracking and classifying all the content they find. Spiders are discovering the content and classified so we have to understand to control indexing.

How do I find information?

The spiders jump from site to site and page to page through the links they find. This is the first point: if a page has no link that leads her on a site I have visited before spiders will never be indexed and search engines will never know they exist. Therefore we must take into account that for each page you want to position must always be at least one link pointing to it and positioned on a page.

Authority and SEO On Page

The authority is an abstract value that we understand how important it is for search engines each of our pages. Warning – Google PageRank Algorithm Changed Again !

Well, this post will be a shock for master Google PageRank sculptors who want to idealize everything in their blogs in the eyes of Google spiders. After carefully reading Matt Cutts (Google’s official PageRank knight) about his PageRank sculpting article, I have understood that even Google has no final clear answer about this all times hot topic. I will briefly try to tell you about latest changes and important excerpts from Matt Cutts’ comments to the questions.

Matt says that the classical PageRank papers and discussions which you can find and read on Internet freely are too old algorithms and don’t show the complication of current real Google calculations.
These include :Sergey Brin PageRank Paper of Stanford , Google PageRank Matrix
Classical Idealized Understanding of PageRank :Please, notice that it is the old PageRank algorithm. The fact that Google once was working on this principle some years ago.According to following chart, all outgoing links are counted as equal including paid links. So, if a page has a value of 100 like on the top-left with 2 outgoing links, all would get equal value as 50.
Decay Factor : It is invented by Google owners to prevent making people constructing link chains. Imagine you have 10 pages on different 10 blogs, one for each and you put links like a chain and finally putting a link from the last item from the chain to the first. It would end up with an infinite PageRank increase. (See chart below).To prevent this, in every step link loses 10 – 15% of its value in the chain and decays in several steps.So, we can conclude that you should avoid such link chains.
Old NoFollow Algorithm : It was the latest understanding of NoFollow and PageRank before Matt Cutts’ explanation on new algorithm two days ago. Google’s aim was to prevent people buying links to increase Page Rank artificially and keeping search engine results clean from spam and affiliate links. According to this, bloggers were encouraged to use rel=nofollow tag in links where they link to an affiliate website or paid link to not to pass PR value.For example,You have a page with PR value of 100 and you link to 10 other pages. 5 of them are nofollowed. According to this algorithm, you would share 100 points amongst remaining 5 links. So, it is exactly 20 points for each followed. Nofollowed links don’t get any points. So, it was logical to nofollow all unimportant links. So, even if you had a page with 100 nofollow links, you did not lose any points to remaining ones. Please note that we didn’t include decay factor here because the exact details are unknown to the public.
Brand new Google PageRank Algorithm : Here comes Matts’ shocking explanation.Let’s take the same example. A page with PR value of 100, 10 total links, 5 of them are nofollowed. As usual 5 nofollowed links don’t get any points. But, you lose these nofollowed points and remaining points are divided amongst following links. So, say bye bye to 50 points at first hand. Then remaining links get each 10 points. It means that, if you have a page with lots of links whether they are nofollowed or not, you lose!
The direct implication of this behaviour that a page with less links are better. We can naturally ask this. Should I close the comments at all because they will eat my rankings? There is no clear answer from Matt yet about it. I will inform you about incoming feedbacks from him.
Using NoFollow on Privacy Policy, About Us pages etc : Matt clearly says in comments that we should not use nofollow on any of internal pages including these. Shock answer to many SEO fans.
Using NoFollow on Amazon Affiliate links : I didn’t answer still a clear answer on this eventhough, there are much questions. We will keep on asking I actually apply half of these links with nofollow to keep looking them natural.
Using NoFollow on Paid Links : Yeah, it continues to be valid. NoFollow your paid links and even better do not lose time and energy to write sponsored reviews at all. Developing a really SEO powered niche website is better in the long run like Best iPhone Cases
Using NoFollow on Feeds : Matt suggests using nofollow on feeds because it is another environment and doesn’t affect how your feeds will be found. He does for its own blog like this.

All Money Eggs in One Basket

Actually, I was planning to write about Facebook ads and SocialSpark but happened very urgent thing (which I was suspecting though). Finally, I managed to be banned by Google Adsense program. Another Update : Currently I use my friend’s Google code to support him. Anyway, Google will pay my all pending earnings which is considerably large. Later, I will write about the mistakes (evil actions) that resulted in ban. Because I used their ads in my all blogs, I had to change them with other CPC and CPM advertisement networks and it took almost one month to update efficiently. At that time, unfortunately I couldn’t write posts on my blogs. I see that Adbrite and Chitika are the best alternatives to Google Adsense, even performing better for some blogs. I can’t suggest Bidvertiser much because it didn’t convert well for me and I have given up with them.

What I would like to tell is that Google Adsense ban didn’t affect me terribly because I didn’t put all the eggs in one basket. Since I have depended heavily on Amazon, RocketProfit, CJ and other money program affiliates my income didn’t drop drastically. Now, I have more motivation and can write more freely on my blogs without fear.

Do not forget that Google isn’t the only way to make money online. I will tell you how you can make money which is a little bit far concept to many bloggers. That’s Russian Dating Affiliate programs and I will tell about more after my next post about Facebook ads and SocialSpark.

Choose the Right Domain Name or Die

Most people think that when you get a top domain name with niche keywords inside, you will have more chance to be indexed in top search result pages of Google. It isn’t true if the niche you want to dive is overcrowded. For example, I tried to run an experiment with a domain name called as BestDealHostingWeb.com with a basic content. The result isn’t successful because there are tons of similar domain names with lots of content and are added every day. I need to put so much unique content but I can’t invest much time on it when the success is not certain. So, I then tried to get cheap traffic with Google Adwords, but because of the high keyword competition it resulted again in failure. Now, all I need to make at least $10 in a year for this website to compansate using other advertising platforms like entrecard and social network postings. $10 seems to be funny but if you continue to develop a network of let’s say hundreds of blogs and websites, even the minimum profit becomes really important.

Before buying a domain name, it is essential to make a basic niche search. According to my experience minimalism is the future for the small websites and blogs for survival. So, it is a better idea to open a website about volcanos of Mexico than simply web hosting offers because you will have easier traffic from search engines with much less content and efforts.
