Maybe, you don’t know how important having good paths on established social networks and on websites that allow you to open SEO friendly login names or article paths.
I want to make it more clear with a concrete example.
MySpace allows you to get any user name like this. http://www.myspace.com/iphone
As far as I see, the owner of this path is also aware what he can achieve and drives natural traffic to his iPhone chat site. Search engines much like to index the pages on quality sites like MySpace, Digg etc. and with some clever tactics you can get considerable traffic for free. You can do it even with free blogspot domains. For example, http://appleiphonegames.blogspot.com is my blog and when iPhone was first appearing I made a clever step to register this path and have begun content making instantly. Now, I have everyday at least 50 impressions only comes from ‘apple iphone games‘ keyword search. The blog is on the 6th place in Google for this keyword. At Yahoo, I am 2nd. There are related keywords with different positions. By the explosion of future iPhone games after their SDK (Software Development Kit) release, the traffic will increase swiftly because I have the natural path which Google likes a lot 
Anyway, I own Make Money Online path (http://apps.facebook.com/makemoneyonline) and the application on Facebook. Most of other good paths were also already grabbed, sorry folks!
It is a very simple application (actually a presentation let’s say) and has potential to grow more if I program it more efficiently and attractively. When the users add it, I show 10 ways of money making links. Conversions are high because it is targeted. To my surprise, I had many Chitika referrals there and even I don’t monetize Chitika ads on my blogs some referrals do it very nicely for me, hurraaaaa
Quiz applications on Facebook are also good money makers(still viral). I have severals of them with related concepts and I use AdChap (Facebook PPC Advertiser), RocketProfit, CJ (CPA) networks to monetize.

Notice the several PPC, CPA (Cost Per Action) ads surrounding them on both canvas and action result pages. With the excellent Facebook invitation and news feed system they survive and become larger. And one confession, am I the invader of Facebook? Exactly, No. There are many applications with millions of users and hundreds of thousands page impressions a day with dedicated servers assigned to them. They just don’t make simple money. They make tons of them like a bank. What I do is running my brain’s evil motors to take my satisfactory slice from the big apple pie where I am not master and powerful!
